In this spirit folks, I’m wishing u a JOY-X-MAS with lots-a-fun, love & action :)    Me personally I’m currently at home in Vienna, thus there’s no X-Mas kiting or surfing for me, though, might head 2 the slopes on my snowboard soon :)

Photos in the gallery were taken on New Zealand’s South island: Sailboat at the lake Wakatipu in Queenstown and Dolphins in Kaikoura  -  the ‘capital’ of Whales & Dolphins, I loooove this place !!!

I have choosen a photo of a dolphin as the ‘header’ to this post, as dolphins are the perfect example, they are full of pure JOY. These creatures are so smart and if us humans would only live a bit like them, the World would be a much better and happier place for sure !  It might sound funny to you but I can only recommend to get in touch with these amazingly wise mammals (literally ‘in touch’!  I try to surf and swim with them as often as possible), to read and find out more about them and their way of life, trust me, there’s looooads to learn from my friends the dolphins :)

When the body sends a signal, nothing should be more important to you than trying to discover the real reason and to work on getting it back into tune again.

One of the basic principles of holistic health is that we cannot seperate our physical body from our emotional, mental, and spiritual state of being. 

For instance, when we have a physical disorder, it is a message for us to look deeply into our emotional and intuitive feelings, our thoughts and attitudes, to discover how we need to take better care of ourselves emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, as well as physically. 

With this approach, we can restore the natural harmony and balance within our being !

The photos in the photo-gallery to your left hand-side are from my recent trip to New Zealand, the ‘Last Paradise’ as it is also known… and that for a reason.  Mother Nature in New Zealand is so incredibly powerful, full of energy and pure as I have not experienced before.  To me Mother Nature is my life-force… inhaling its energy can be stronger than any medicine, try it !!

I’ve just come back to Western Australia after 4 and a half months constant travelling, an as you might imagine, I’m suuuuper busy cathing up with stuff (reviewing 20.000 photos +  uncountable video tapes, work on them, edit, etc., write aricles in several languages…. plus get new project on the run + organized)   and apart from my daily exercising  (gym, surf, kite, yoga etc.) I will mainly be stuck at the computer at the farm that I stay at in Margaret River.

Traveling broadens ones horizon, and in this spirit, my most recent experiences and wonderful new acquaintances along the way of my latest trips have inspired me to start a new series under my blog category ‘Soulwave’ with the title:  ‘My invitation to inspiration’, a series of powerful quotes, daily thoughts, and positive affirmations, which upon reading hopefully will inspire you to live a more empowered life :) !!   Each post will be supported by some beautiful new photo of my recent travel through New Zealand, the East Coast of Australia as well as other mind-blowing images from previous trips.

As my first inspiring thought, I would like to quote Eckhart Tolle and his view on ‘Living in the NOW’:
“Nothing ever happened in the past,  it happened in the Now. Nothing will ever happen in the future,  it will happen in the Now”.

Nature is incredible and its power endless…    NATURE is MY LIFEFORCE and full of energy !!

I simply love all presents of Mother Earth:  trees, lakes, flowers, mountains, the sun, the moon, stars…  and feel a particularly strong connection with the Ocean, yeah in fact it reflects my life-philosophy:  The ‘MANA OF THE OCEAN’ an infinite force and abundance of wisdom that teaches us about life (…if we’d only listened !?) and the wave-like nature of our existence.

I interpret the Ocean as symbol of life  -   its peaks and troughs, its sets and lulls, the tide’s ebb and flow just like our daily being.  “Nothing in life can be forced, you have to wait for your wave patiently, there is a time for everything to happen, get in touch with the pulse of the planet instinctively, be fully present in the moment and enjoy the ride when your wave comes…

To ride a wave is an instantaneous meditation and requires 100% focus, a sense of serenity and commitment without any worries about the future or the past!”.

In this spirit, I will now go outside, look for a beautiful tree and hug it :)    or some sweet swell to ride :)   hihihihi, yeah, try it, it’s good !!  Sing, smile at the sun, dance in the rain or just sit there, look at any present of Mother Nature and try to calm ur thoughts… It’s important to peace the mind in the crazy and busy World that we live in today !!  Or another great option:  go snorkeling, snorkeling is THE BEST !! Yeah, the underwaterworld is so full of joy and amazing stuff, for example the shot with the dolphines in the photo gallery I have taken myself in Mauritius snorkeling :)   I am alo a passionate diver and my dive log counts hundreds of dives, however, snorkeling can be at least as good, give it a shot mates, I’m sure u’ll gonna luv it !

]]> http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/soulwave/nature-my-lifeforce/feed/ 0 A present of Mother Nature http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/travels/a-present-of-mother-nature/ http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/travels/a-present-of-mother-nature/#comments Sat, 31 Jan 2009 09:36:07 +0000 kitegabi http://www.kitegabi.com/en/?p=4910 A text on my mobile phone woke me up 2day saying ‘ glassy as, headin’ down 2 spot 4 a SUP now, ure comin ?’.  It was still early, my body was aching immensely from yesterday’s JOY:   an epic tow-in surf session early in the morning and a really fun kite in the afternoon with that same dear mate of mine, regardless of my limbs whiyh felt like if I was 500 years old, I downed a coffee and off I went  speeding with Margaret   -   have u checked my car yet??   -   towards the beach.

WOW, although now I feel like 1000 years old, I certainly don’t regret having followed the text of my friend as I’ve had one of THE most insane SUP-session EVER !!!  

The conditions were perfect:  about 6ft, glassy as and only me and my mate out… I caught so many waves and even went for waves that I would usually leave rollin’ past.  YEAH, took late take offs, steep drops, pure JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYY !! …when my friends the dolphins joined us out there in the deep blue of the Indian Ocean, I couldn’t believe the present Mother Nature had saved for up for me 4 this day … cause if u would have asked me just after I woke up, stiff and in pain, and you would have wanted my guess as to what the day would be like, it would never have gone into such an epic direction !?    The lesson to be learnt simply yet again:   Open your eyes, follow your intuition, life’s full of miracles and oh-sooooooooooooooo-beautiful !!!

]]> http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/travels/a-present-of-mother-nature/feed/ 0 Dolphin gettin’ barrelled http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/chitchat/dolphin-gettin-barrelled/ http://www.kitegabi.com/en/blog/chitchat/dolphin-gettin-barrelled/#comments Sat, 17 Jan 2009 00:08:46 +0000 kitegabi http://www.kitegabi.com/en/?p=4849 Guys, this morning I experienced SUCH an incredible touch of nature, unreal…  I got up already very early, the sun had just risen at the horizon when I took the SUP (stand up paddle) board out at a beautiful spot here in Western Australia.  It was a pefectly glassy, warm, summer mornin…the Indian Ocean was blue as and I instantly felt so insanely happy with the World and the beauty around me.  I was out with 2 mates, it was in fact only us, which I still can’t understand, usually on mornings like this it can get pretty crowded, especially as it is currently summer holidays, thus normally all the kids are out playin’ (i.e.paddling)… but not today.

I caught some sick waves and sudddenly there was this big school of dolphines right around me…the crystal clear water, wow, I watched them surfing the waves beside me, jumping out and havin perhaps even more fun than me, so beautiful!  Then after catching a looong wave in, I was just on my way back out again, when I saw a huge set rollin’ in and suddenly there was a dolphin, I could see him through the breaking part, it was that clear see-through-waters … and then he got barrelled, WOW, I thought I was dreamin but I wasn’t… YEP, he stayed cool and was obviously enjoying the ride through the tube :)

Now back here in my little room behind the computer, I feel so incredibly privileged, privileged of being able to play out there in the Ocean !  We all should take the time to play once in a while, even in a city, whereeva, just go out into Nature, open ur eyes, breath and enjoy and I’m convinced Mother Earth is gonna give u some sort of present, just keep ur eyes open !!

Obviously I did not have a camera with me on my SUP, however, instead I decided to post a photo of an insane snorcheling trip in Mauritius when I actually had a camera with me.  Love the dolphines, in fact I reckon I must have been one in my previous life…
