“Let’s hear it for the mad ones”,<\/strong><\/em> is the headline of the editorial to the latest issue of the leading international magazine\u00a0Kiteworld<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(#73, Feb\/March’15)\u00a0that looks at the inner perspectives of those that make the extra effort to allow kitesurfing to take centre stage in their lives. I am one of the “mad ones” featured \ud83d\ude42 !<\/p>\n

The article titled “Getting Shacked”<\/em><\/strong> is about my life in Western Australia, a life less ordinary, <\/strong>photographed and written by Reemedia.de<\/a>. It’s an absolutely beautiful article and I feel privileged to be sharing how I live with all fellow kite-ocean-surf-mad-ones out there!<\/p>\n

I also truly dig the quote that Kiteworld’s editor Jim Gaunt associates with mine and the life of the other riders featured in the mag, when he writes, we remind him of Jack Kerouac’s experiences when travelling in the 1950’s, of which he wrote: “The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”<\/em><\/p>\n
