Located directly in the Roaring Forties and fully exposed the brunt of the Southern Ocean swells Van Diemen\u2019s Land (aka Tasmania) has been on my radar for many, many years. Dutch Explorer Abel Tas-man, was the first European to set foot here in 1642, I followed the great pioneer in his explorer-spirit and my personal discovery voyage by van took me 7200km back and forth crisscrossing around the entire island. 7200kms is a considerable distance here, as the island itself is only 364 km (north to south) x 306 km (east to west) but I simply could not get enough of it. I had found kite-wonderland!<\/p>\n
