It’s been more than two years now that I left El Gouna after having spent quite a considerable time here. It feels good to be back, I’m visiting and staying with some really lovely friends of mine and it’s amazing how much the place has changed in just two years!!<\/p>\n
With my arrival also the wind – which took a ‘wee’ break of about one week .. well, who can blame him, also the wind needs a holiday sometimes, right!!? especially here in el gouna, he’s workin’ hard pretty much all year, so it’s only fair enough to take a couple of days off…. – came back :o) yeah and as soon as I got out of the suuuper cool old Peugot-taxi, which chauffered me from Hurghada airport directly to the spot, I fixed up my gear and went for a truly sweet evening cruise. But it wasn’t just any evening-cruise. NO !! It turned out to be a unforgettable ‘sunset-fullmoon rise’ session, sooo beautiful!! Whilst the big, orange sun set on the desert-horizon, the fat, glowing full moon came up on the horizon of the red sea….<\/p>\n
The next couple of days the wind got stronger and stronger and I was even on my brand new Vegas 06 7m2. I also brought a 5m2 in preparation for the Worldcup in Fuerteventura in 2 weeks but this baby is still orgininally packed, resting in my quiverbag.<\/p>\n
I’m spending my days here at the ‘KITEPOWER El Gouna’<\/a>– station, which without a doubt, is THE best station and school around!! Yeah the team is absolutely lovely and super professional and there’s everything here, kiter’s hearts can only wish for: a huuuge beach, perfect lagoon – the ONLY place in El Gouna, where one can kite at low tide too!! – beachboys, rescueboat, chill-out beduin tent and so much more.
