Ever since I arrived here in Portugal for the Wavemaster 2007, I’m not the luckiest kitechick on earth …<\/p>\n
First day, just shortly after having picked up my rental car at Lisbon\u00a0airport, it got already broken into. 2nd day, somebody\u00a0crashed into me during a\u00a0surf session at Praya Grande, breaking a huge hole into my new surfboard.\u00a0 3rd day, vandals felt the need of scratching my poor rental car badly with their keys…<\/p>\n
The event itself also isn’t blessed by luck.\u00a0 ever since it had started, there’s no more swell nor wind…\u00a0 we still have managed to push through a few heats\u00a0by now\u00a0in really edgy conditions, with onshore light wind and chop\u00a0 –\u00a0 me, drawn right into the first heat of the event…up against the world champ Kirsty Jones from the UK…lucky draw, yeah!?\u00a0\u00a0The wind dropped drastically in the first minutes\u00a0of my heat\u00a0… and it took me ages to get back outside every time I\u00a0rode one of\u00a0the chops\u00a0in…<\/p>\n
so, on standby for the double elimination … and time for surfing J as well as sightseeing !<\/p>\n
