During the PKRA World Cup 2007 on Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, I met ex-double World Champ, kite- and windsurfing-legend Mark Shinn and his long-term girlfriend Flo Ducate, who had come over from their home island Tenerife to watch the competition. I haven\u2019t seen them in aaaages, however, busy with heats as well as having to deal with a rather dubious kite-theft-affair (yet another story), as much as I wanted to have a little chit chat with them as much it was totally impossible… \u2018Come over to Tenerife, stay with us and let\u2019s chill and catch up on things\u2019 I heard Flo and Mark saying right when I launched my way-too-big-a-kite (as the 5m2 had gotten stolen over night!?) and headed out in the gusty conditions of hauling Sotavento.
