Congratulations my 02alive team-mates Gosch & Horst!!
My 02alive team-mates, the pro-beachvolleyballers Alex Horst and Flo Gosch showed an exceptional performance at the Summer Olympics in Beijing today, finishing 5th and by that as the most successful male Austrian beachvolley-team !
After a rather unlucky start into the Olympic games – i.e. losing the first match against the top-rated team from China – Flo and Alex have been playing sensationally since and worked their way into the quarter-finals. Today up against the ex-World Champs from Brazil Marcio & Fabio, in front of 12.000 spectators in the Chaoyang Park stadium, Alex and Flo showed absolute top-worldclass beachvolleyball. Nevertheless the victory went to Brazil in a super tight match, losing in two sets (21-20, 21-17).
The final result 5th place for Alex Horst und Flo Gosch makes them the most successful Austrian beachvolleyball-team in Beijing as it also represents a remarkable – one could already call it ‘historical’ – achievement for my home country in this sport.
Congratulations mates, I’m so stoked for you two!! …I bet u guys had sh§$ loads of 02alive Power Water there in China, giving u that special powerkick that’s so needed to get so far 🙂
