Indoing – great fun exercise 4 all board-freaks

The original Indo Board is the perfect all around balance trainer for any sport where balance would be key, such as surfing, skateboarding, wakeboarding – in fact, any athlete would benefit greatly from Indoing! The learning curve is quick, and the Indoboard can be used by beginners to pros – there’s always room to improve.

Me when I’m in Vienna workin’ out in the gym   –    BEER’s fitness, ‘THE’ coolest health & fitness club on Earth !!  downtown, right in the midlle of the old part of my beautiful home-city –   I always ‘indo around’ during my exercises with weights, the fitness ball, yoga poses…

By far one of the best ways to learn balance – the Indo Board is incredible.  Also excellent for learning footwork on a board – perfect for any board sport.   Beyond board sports, the skills and training provided by the Indo Board helps almost any sport and above all: it’s soooo much fun !!

The Original Indo Board consists of a wooden board and a roller. The board is shaped like an oval, with clear light grip on top (which can be used both bare foot or with skate shoes) and wood catches on the bottom tip and tail to keep the board from flying out from under you if you let it roll too far. The roller is plastic, ridiculously sturdy,  with stripes of grippy rubber ringing it to help hold onto the board.
And that’s it – these two parts, combined with your body, create a balancing situation where all three parts have to work together in sinc. This simulates other board sports, such as surfing, where you have to be aware of the moving wave, your moving board, and your own body. The same carries to any sport where balance is key.

When I first jumped on the Indo board I was wondering what to do, felt stupid and even simply standing on it was quite a challenge.   Givin’ the Indo still a chance and havin’ a few attempts I was shocked at how quickly the whole thing felt natural. Today I love it so much, I wish I would have one at home.  If u get a chance, try indoing, u won’t regret it I’m sure !
