Viva Mexico part II

Viva Mexico part II

After 3 exciting weeks here at the westcoast of Mexico, I’m kind of a local already :o) I have settled in well in a small town with the name ‘Bucerias’ close to the main city of Puerto Vallarta, the tourist center along the ‘Bahia the Banderas’, a huge bay – you should see it, you wouldn’t believe it!! – and my kite-playgrounds!

Yeah, I absolutely love it here! The Bay is incredibly beautiful and so perfect for kitesurfing! I have been riding already at several spots, it’s great because no matter the direction of the wind, one will always find a good spot to go kitesurfing. In the time that that I spent here already, I enjoyed a good average of windy days – usually on my beloooved Vegas06 9m2!! – and I’ve had a lot of fun in the water!

Besides super good conditions, I met absolutely unqiue people. Honestly, everyone here is just so friendly and helpful plus I feel very save (I have to admit that safety for a girl travelling alone in Mexico, was certainly a concern before I came here). In the short time that I’ve been here, I made a lot of new friends, in fact, I already have kind of a small Mexican family.

There is the gang of  “Kite Vallarta”, a super cool bunch of guys and girls and everyone is a bit crazy … hihihi, guess that’s the Mexican vibes … love it!  Everyday the gang meets, hangs out together, waiting for the wind to pick up to then drive to the best spot that day. I would like to take this occasion to especially thank the team of  “Kite Vallarta”  –  check out their website  http://www.kitevallarta.com –  Chente and Raquel and all the other lovely people I met through them, they helped me a great deal with everything here from accommodation to travel and so much more!

Besides Chente and Raquel, I would like to ‘thank’ especially Valentina, an Italian chica loca who is kind-a-Italian-mama for all of us :o)   She takes care and cooks good energy food every evening! Yeah, Valentina was so kind, she even borrowed me her super dooper mountain bike for the time that I’m here which is more than important for my knee, that’s still a bit weak after an injury.   Valentina and another gang-member are celebrating their birthdays this weekend with a big fiesta tonight and all day tomorrow at the beach :o)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CICCINA & PACO !!!

Another great point about the Bahia de Banderas is without a doubt:  Puerto Vallarta. A very special city with unique vibes and character! Fantastic restaurants, bars, shops, you find everything you need here … !!

In fact, I like it here so much that I just changed my return ticket to Europe. I just feel very comfortable and my training (on the water and in the gym) is going well. I will stay for another 2 weeks, however, know already now that it’s gonna be so hard to leave this place!!

Here are some pics for you to check out .. THANX to Fritz Pfnuer, a former skydive-pro, who dedicated some of his valuable time to take super sweet shots!

At the time of transferring this post from the previous to the brandnew version of www.kitegabi.com, several articles already had been published in co-operation with Stance Magazine about this truly adventurous dream-trip to Mexico!! Check’em out in English, French, German, and Italian!
