Traumhaftes Revier

The Traunsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria. Thie article features my opinion to the lake as a kitesurf destination.

Sourrounded by breathtaking nature this lake boasts some unique kitesurfing-experience. The water temperature is all year round chilly due to the depth, however, it’s really worth going for a ride, the mountain-scenery all around is mind-blowing. Usually rather a light-wind spot, I was lucky when I arrived at the lake after a few hours drive from Vienna, the wind was blowing and the sun was shining. I phoned Franz Grabner, a great photographer who lives close to the lake, and went to bed that night buzzing from an insane kite-day and with incredibly good new shots in my photo-archive.
