Made in Taiwan

Ever since my earliest childhood the country Taiwan was well known to me. After all the entire kingdom of my toys, my bike and later on almost all my electrical gadgets, fake designer-clothes and the majority of house and kitchen utensils in my parents’ house carried the “Made in Taiwan”-badge…

I knew little else other than that Taiwan was producing a hell of a lot of goods and that it was somewhere in Asia. I was astounded to discover in the process of thoroughly researching the globe for a new explorer-mission that this island in the Pacific seemed blessed with promising conditions for wind- and wave-addicts.  It was mainly the wind statistics that got me: during the months from October through to March, strong winds from the northeast were blowing at least 5 out of 7 days. 25 knots is considered “average”, 40 knots +  as “pretty normal”.

Read here in the leading german kiteboarding magazine on 10 pages, the german version of my once-in-a-lifetime adventure in Taiwan that took me 2500km across this truly fascinating and extraordinary experience.  An absolutely unique journey in an absolutely unique country. You can read the article online or download the pdf, just choose below!

And if German is not your mother tongue, you can also find the article in English in Kiteworld, in Spanish in Surf a Vela, or in French in Kiteboarder Mag!

Have fun & I’m always super stoked to hear from you!
